Two Phases
Introduction to Biblical Counseling (also known as Foundations in Counseling Ministry) is designed as a six month training program with two distinct phases.
Phase one is a three-month classroom segment which utilizes lectures, discussions, workshops, small group interactions and personal study. The close community of students and staff provides an environment where the application of Biblical counseling skills can be worked out. Students benefit from the expertise of resource lecturers and guest faculty from different counseling ministries.
Phase two is the field assignment. This provides a practical experience where the knowledge, skills and character qualities of a Biblical counselor learned in the lecture phase are put into practice in a mission field setting. Students will find enriching cross-cultural opportunities and challenging experiences of working on a team at one of the ministry locations around the world.

What our students say about IBC
Nigel Kama Nigel Kama -- Papua New Guinea
Doing Introduction of Biblical Counseling school was life changing and a challenging in my life. God has showed me his patience, and the love in me.When I did this school, it was such a blessing that God showed me undiscovered things.
I've never seen some issues which controlled my life that has been in me for long time like anger, frustration, and depression I started to discover. God took me to a process of forgiveness and showing me the steps to overcome.
I also began knowing how to communicate with my family, friends and even helping me how to solve problems with them. I really learned to be a good listener and a good helper. This school (IBC) helps me to be a good servant of God.
Christine Hamilton -- USA
The IBC not only brought some much needed healing into my own life, but also gave me some remarkable God-given tools to help others. Since then, I've been able to use the anointed resources given to me in the IBC to help others work through their emotional pain which releases them into greater growth in their relationship with God and others. Now I am looking forward to doing the MMBC and the ABC schools to gain more training in counseling ministry.
