All Nations All Generations Oha Loa - a classic DTS

Share |

Oha Loa header image

Oha Loa means 'extended family' and is a classic style of DTS that builds on the premise that by living as a community we can all learn from each other, regardless of culture or age. That every nation, tribe and tongue reflects the character of God and by living together we enable each other to see the different facets of who He is.

Subjects/Training include: Hearing the voice of God, Operating in the Prophetic, Prayer and Intercession, Daily walking with God, Worship, Spiritual Warfare, Identity, Fatherheart of God, Missions and Evangelism, Wisdom and Relationships and Cultural Studies.

For those who are thirsting for something deeper than just the 'every day' this foundational course will bring deeper intimacy, as we learn to hear the voice of God, helping us to walk the adventure of life in faith and obedience.

The Live/Learn Phase

We will be learning from those with vast experience of mission both within YWAM and in the Body of Christ worldwide. They have lived out this call through all seasons of hardship and blessing and will share with us their experiences and God's heart. Our hearts are for God's manifest presence, not only to visit us, but to abide with us. We want to see His Kingdom come and His will be done; we want to know Him in a deeper way – and then make Him known through our lives and our lifestyle, on outreach and on into our future.

The Field Assignment (Outreach)

The Kona Lecture Phase will be followed by an eight-week outreach. For the past three years we have gone to the South Pacific nations of Samoa, Fiji and the Cook Islands; in Asia to The Philippines, China and Thailand; and to Rwanda, Spain, France and the Hawaiian Islands. Our leaders are praying for locations for the field assignment in April-May.

Meet the School Leaders

Peter & Donna Jordan served in Hawaii for 12 years, helping to pioneer the Kona base in leadership and in directing Discipleship Training Schools in Kona and Singapore. Peter was also YWAM Founder Loren Cunningham's assistant for nine years. Together they founded the YWAM Associates ministry. Donna teaches extensively in DTSes, conferences, church and women's retreats around the world.

George J George Joukador was born in Australia and did a Kona DTS in 1987. Over the past 20 years he has worked in the corporate world and for the local government as a fitness and health coordinator. George has served his local church and worked in its urban missions team as a missions mentor to his cell group. He has staffed the All Nations All Generations DTS since 2008, leading outreach teams to Fiji, Spain, France, Samoa and the Cook Islands. He can also Sasa (moderately well)!

Toomua Ieru & Karen Toomua, members of YWAM's Island Breeze since 1981, pioneered the Island Breeze ministry in Australia. With three grown children, Ieru and Karen are now serving in Kona, where they are also leaders of the Principles of Redeeming Cultures School, held at U of N Kona each July. They serve as directors of Island Breeze International.

Kupuna & staff Ohana

Serving with us in the Ohana (family) are the Elders (kupuna) as well as the Middlers and the Youngers – a team that has been preparing for this DTS for many months.

Singles, couples and families

Singles, couples and families are all welcome to join the All Nations-All Generations DTS.

Foundation School

Families will find a YWAM-DTS in Kona particularly attractive due to the U of N's provision of an excellent Foundation School for children ages 4-17 designed to enrich both their spiritual and academic growth.  Your children will also have wonderful times of learning to know God and make Him known.  A separate preschool/kindergarten is also available for children ages 4-6.  Participation in these programs is not "automatic" upon the parents' acceptance into DTS.  These schools sometimes fill up quickly, so it will be important to apply early!
Parents will need to arrange for a nanny to care for little ones under the age of 4.
