Encounter God and see his story unfold as you study the Bible under dynamic teachers and within a passionate community. Observe the chronology of biblical events, better understand each book in its historical context, understand the harmony between the books, know why it was written, and grasp the main ideas. While in DBS you will learn the foundational truths of Christianity.

Our goal is to see both Word and Spirit blend together and see the flame of revival go forth! The journey that began in the DTS will now continue in DBS.

Share your faith more confidently with those who are seeking (evangelism) and explain the Word of God more accurately to those who’ve already come to faith (discipleship). The course is like a sequel to the DTS. This can be accomplished through one-on-ones, small groups, plus evangelism and mercy ministry in the community.

During the April 2019 DBS there is a special outreach to Mongolia that is partnering with “End Bible Poverty Now”. You will have the amazing opportunity to help deliver a bible in every home in Mongolia.

Daniel Cloud

I come from a background in the church, I basically was raised in the church, and I jumped into youth ministry right after a 2 year Bible school. I led worship in youth ministry and was part of the leadership team for 15 years before YWAM. Did my DTS in April of 2016 with Awaken, and did my DBS in September of 2016. I jumped onto staff and helped pioneer the Kansas City DBS in April 2017, took the DTS Equip seminar, and staffed the Kona DBS in September 2017. I pioneered and co-lead the first DBS on the continent of Africa in April of 2018 on the YWAM Muizenberg base. I have a deep passion for studying the Word, and I love to help the Bible come alive in peoples lives.

Leilani Faialaga

My name is Leilani Faialaga, I’m from Japan, New Zealand, Samoa and America, yes that’s a lot, I’m a YWAM kid. I did my DBS here in Kona in April of 2016. This was the pivotal event in my life, the Word saved my life and changed it for the better. I have just completed my SBS, and my hearts desire is to see people come to know and walk out in the freedom I’ve found in the Word. I have a heart to take the Word to the nations, especially Japan, my homeland. I’m stoked to help lead and learn with the students of this school!
